Linked mailboxes and Office 365 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Currently we have two Exchange 2010 servers on-premises with about 300 mailboxes. Half of these are linked mailboxes. Our main forest trusts the foreign forest; they don't trust us. We are planning to establish a hybrid environment.

    (1) Linked mailboxes were not supported last time I did a research. Has this changed? If not, are there som future plans to support this feature.

    (2) I guess we could not add archive mailboxes on Exchange Online to these linked mailboxes, or is this possible.

    (3) If nothing of this is supported, are there any work-arounds?

  • Hi Jon,

I am sure by now you would have got your answer

    It is yet not supported

You can look for third party migration tools like quest, priasoft and many more

  • Two way trust is required

once the Two trust build you will be able to migrate the linked mailbox, many setting need to change like AD Sync Azure need to configure it for multi forest and AD azure ID should be change from UPN to mail.
