Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials Office 365 integration fails RRS feed

  • I tryto integrateO365 into my Server 2012 R2 Essentials over the dashboard. There always appears the message that there is no internet connection, but everthing else works fine (Windows Updates, webbrowser, etc).

    Where could be the problem?

    According to your log file, it seems the system cannot install the MSIIDCRL component into the system when the Office 365 Integration wizard runs.

    Try to manually install the component first:
    1. Download Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant for IT Professionals RTW from below link:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41950 
    2. For Windows Server 2012/2012 R2 Essentials, select and  install the 64 bit version. 

    Once the component is installed, please reboot the server and then try to run the Office 365 Integration wizard again from Dashboard.

    Besides, make sure that your Office 365 subscription is enabled with RMS service. And try to install the hotfix mentioned in KB 3055778 and check the result.

    Office 365 integration is unsuccessful if the Rights Management service is installed on Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials

    According to your description, my understanding is that if failed to integrate O365 into WIndows Server 2012 R2 Essentials with error no Internet connection.

    Try to manually replace the PCNS folder and PCNS.zip file,, reference steps below:
    1. On the server, rename the PCNS folder and PCNS.zip file present at the C:\Program Files\Windows Server\Bin folder.
    2. Download PCNS.ZIP from below link:
    https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=1F6A9A6B31F6AE80&id=1F6A9A6B31F6AE80%21719&parId=1F6A9A6B31F6AE80%21104&action=locate 
    3. Copy PCNS.ZIP to the C:\Program Files\Windows Server\Bin folder.
    4. Re-run O365 integration and check the result.

    Besides, make sure that your Essentials has been fully patched with Windows Update, as some known issues have been fixed by update. 

    Also, you may try to disable IPv6 temporarily if it is not in use, and check the result.

    According to your log file, it seems the system cannot install the MSIIDCRL component into the system when the Office 365 Integration wizard runs.

    Try to manually install the component first:
    1. Download Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant for IT Professionals RTW from below link:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41950 
    2. For Windows Server 2012/2012 R2 Essentials, select and  install the 64 bit version. 

    Once the component is installed, please reboot the server and then try to run the Office 365 Integration wizard again from Dashboard.

    Besides, make sure that your Office 365 subscription is enabled with RMS service. And try to install the hotfix mentioned in KB 3055778 and check the result.

    Office 365 integration is unsuccessful if the Rights Management service is installed on Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials
