Configuring Home Directory in UAG Help. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have configured File Access in UAG to connect to a user's Home Drive using the home directory found in AD on the domain controller. Here's my issue. Users can login and access their home directory without any problems using domain\username. However, when the login with just their username without domain\ it shows the File Access tree, but nothing underneath it. We obviously do not want our users to have to ender domain\ before their login, as this will cause a lot of confusion. Is there a step I'm missing somewhere? If I use the template option and specify a path, it works just fine without domain\...however we have many locations so people's home directories are spread out on multiple servers, so that solution won't work for us.

    Thanks!

  • I resolved this issue today on my own. When creating my authentication server, I had to go back and change the connection setting from "Use local AD forest authentication" to Define domain controllers. After this, it worked like a charm.
