Upgraded Windows 7 to a new hard drive - now can't get into XP RRS feed

  • Question

  • I bought a new hard drive to install windows 7 onto.  I already had a computer running windows xp and did not want to affect my setup.  After installing Windows 7 the computer just boots straight to it.  I don't get a dual OS boot screen at all.  So then I unhooked my hard drive with Windows 7 on it and tried to boot up into XP but I get a window saying that it cannot find the operating system and to put in my indows disk and restart to fix Windows.  So I assume it wants the XP disk and I put it won't boot from it.  What now?W! I hooked the Windows 7 hard drive up again but I have no way of booting to XP again - very very very frustrating.  What can I do to get my Xp back?
