Porject Server 2013 Environment requirements RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I have a client that already has a SharePoint farm for their Document Management System. The hardware software requirements have been met based on the dataset size provided by Microsoft.

They want Project Server also. They want to utilise their current SharePoint farm to install Project Server. So that they avoid having to look after another SharePoint environment.

I am bit unsure about this. Can someone help and suggest if this is good approach? Are we creating more work for having a separate environment for Project Server and making it easier for system administrators to manage the environment if it was all within one SharePoint farm? Kind of makes sense, but still not sure if this is the right way to go or not.

Any help will be appreciated as always!

    :-)

  • Hi,

you can do this in couple of ways, either created and independent farm for Project Server or Add it to existing farm. Not sure about the Arch. or Landscape you have but general practices can be found on below link.
