    I have lost the ability to save documents in word 2007. When I open a document that I have already saved, make changes and then try to save as, it will not let me. What has happened?

    Hi,

    If your Word hasn't been activated, it may be in the reduced-functionality mode, you need to activate it.

    Since the information you have provided is few, I doubt if performing a clean boot will work, it helps troubleshoot problems in some scenarios:

    Does this only happen in WORD or in other application as well? (eg EXCEL).

    Have you tried re-booting the machine? Does that clear the problem?
