Disabled Machine in Active Directory RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

How the disabled (Active Directory) machines are discovered and placed in SCCM?

I have a collection where apparently only the "non-disabled" machines are showing... is it expected?

I am not trying to install the Client on the machine in this OU Collection.

    Thanks,
    DOm

They are not. AD System Discovery and AD Group Discovery in ConfigMgr do not discover disabled computer objects. That doesn't mean that they weren't discovered before they were disabled though or using another method. Discovery is **not** a two-way synchronization, discovery is exactly as the definition of the word implies, ConfigMgr finding objects in AD and creating resources for them.

Sure, if that's how the collection membership rules are configured.
