Emails bouncing back from Calendar updates RRS feed

  • Question

  • Two user are having an issue with meeting modification/cancellations bouncing back to the sender.

We have tested this as well when I create a meeting, they accept, and I cancel. I get this message and they do not receive any notification of the canceled meeting. I am unsure if there are any other issues with the user's mailbox. Any thoughts? TIA.

  • >> Two user are having an issue with meeting modification/cancellations bouncing back to the sender.

Does this issue happen to specific users or clients? If they log on their account on a working computer, will issue be reproduced?

Do you mean these two users cannot receive meeting update or modification emails?

Can you reproduce this issue via OWA?

Besides, do they have any antivirus software running on these clients? We can temporarily close all these programs to see if there are any difference.

According to my research, the error message seems to indicate Exceeded Quota. Please try emptying Deleted Item folder and Recoverable Items folder to see if it helps.

    Regards,

    Perry

  • Hi Perry_Pan

The two affected users, irrespective if they login or not to their accounts, when a calendar invite is sent to them they can receive it just fine, but if the invitation is changed or cancelled, they do not get that update and the sender gets a bounce back NDR message. Irrespective of who sends them that invite.

I also read it on couple of forums that emptying Deleted item folders or Exceeding the quota on those folder manually or enabling in-place archive (which sets the quota to 100GB) did not work for me, although it has for most people.

I am open to suggestions :)

  • Do they have any Archive mailbox? We may also check the quota of archive mailbox.

We can try moving these two users to another database to test the results.

Besides, we may compare mailbox configuration between problematic users and working users to see if there are any difference.

    Regards,

    Perry
