covert cell to value RRS feed

  • Question

  • Many years ago there was a command that allowed you to convert a cell in a spreadsheet to it's current value. That command permanently converted the cell to it's current value so that you could continue to use the spreadsheet but that cell did not change once it was converted. Is there such a command in Excel?

  • I figured it out. If you copy the cell to itself the paste option has a drop down menu and the second option (123) will save the cell as it's value rather than the formula.
