I ran into this problem recently when I set up a Delegation session to act on behalf of another resource.  When I started the Delegation session to act as the other resource, I saw this exact error message.  The problem in my case was that the resource for whom I was acting was not included in any security Groups.  So, in other words, that resource had NO PERMISSIONS to do anything in Project Server.  This meant that when I started a Delegation session to work on behalf of that resource, I had no permissions either.

Would this do anything to help explain the error message your user sees and to help resolve it?  Let us know and we will try to help.

The problem did not go away until I added the resource in question to a security Group in PWA.  In this resource??s case, it was the Team Members group.  Apparently once you launch a Delegation session, that session continues running even if the Project Server administrator deleted the Delegation session.  Let us know if this helps at all.

  • mmm, will have to think about that one.

i Have now removed all delegation's set up for that 2 users and still they get the msg as soon as they open PWA...

Will have to go and check what rights all the users they work on behalf of has.
