Remote Desktop - Not Connecting RRS feed

    Hello,

     

    I'm testing SCE 2007 with SP1 against a couple of Windows XP Professional SP3 clients.  I have the clients being properly managed by SCE 2007 and have done some remote package installations without a problem.  My question/problem is that when I attempt to use a Remote Desktop from the SCE 2007 server to one of the Windows XP machines I get the error message, "The computer can't connect to the remote computer" message.

     

    I've checked the firewall settings of the client machines and they all have Remote Desktop enabled.  No firewall issues on the server as it is currently turned off for testing purposes.


    Is there something basic I am missing here?

    Hi Joe,

     

    In SCE console, SCE only call mstse.exe command to connect the remote client. As a test, we recommend lanuch a mstsc.exe on SCE server locally instead of SCE console to see if it works. If it still does not work, the problem may be at the internal network or clients, not at the SCE side.
