  • Question

  • I did an update on windows and it put me in kiosk mode when reopening I could not sign on as I did not know the password because I did not create the mode. I thought someone hacked my computer system I had to restore to an earlier update.  How did this kick in and how do I get rid of the user I did sync my passwords and it seems to be gone? Deblytle

  • Hi Deblytle,

    What is your current situation?

Which Update that would cause this issue, could you please check into Event Viewer, and see if any related errors logged?

Check the update history of Windows 10:

Besides, I don't think Windows Update would cause a kiosk mode. As it happened, which app is running there?

In addition, if you could login Windows 10 with your Microsoft Account, try to add a new Local Admin Account there.

If any further assistance needed, please post back.
