Hi,
We have a SharePoint 2007 server and there is a particular calendar located on it that will not sync with Outlook. When the calendar is added and a send and receive is performed, the following error is received: An error occurred either in Outlook or SharePoint. Contact the SharePoint site administrator. HTTP 0. I'm fairly positive that the problem lies within SharePoint because this calendar doesn't sync with any Outlook on any computer. I've looked around and haven't found much about this particular issue and I've tried all suggestions (remove/re add the calendar, uncheck check server certificate revocation, etc.).
I've rebooted the SharePoint server hoping that it was just a temporary glitch but the problem persists. I'm not really up to speed on SharePoint troubleshooting and am a bit lost, so any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi,
I understand that you cannot connect Calendar to Outlook. You can try to stop System Event Notification Service and start it again to see whether it fixes this issue.
- At a command prompt, type "net stop sens" and Enter
- Then to restart it, type "net start sens".

Given the nature of the issue, I would recommend you to create a support case with the Microsoft SharePoint support team. An engineer would then be assigned to scope and troubleshoot the issue further. Initially, a review of the ULS logs would be required. Outlook uses the lists.asmx web service to sync all items (including Calendar) with the SharePoint server. A network monitor trace may be required for review to know why the sync is failing.

Where can I do that, and is there any cost associated with it? Thanks.Tuesday, July 2, 2013 4:55 PM
