Create project using Microsoft Project with different EPT RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am creating a new project using Microsoft Project, by default it goes to "Enterprise Project" EPT.

So, how to change Enterprise Project Type using Microsoft Project without changing default option under EPT every time.

  • Hi PSN,

When you create a project using Microsoft project, it picks up the default EPT set in the server. There is no option available to change the EPT using MS Project.

As you don't want to change every time default option under EPT, so alternatively, you can change the EPT using the below option:

Launch Project Web App > Server Settings > Change or Restart Workflows > Select the Project in the Target list > Select the appropriate EPT in the drop down in the option Associate projects with a new Enterprise Project Type. Find more details in below TechNet link regarding the option:

    Hope this helps you.

    Warm Regards Badal Ratra
