SFB 2015 : Conference ID no longer working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Error Message (heard on the phone after key-in the Conference ID): sorry I can't seem to connect to your meeting now. please try again later. good bye.

This happened to a number of staff in our environment. The current solution is to reset the Conference Information wherein they'll receive a new Conference ID and Meeting URL. I would like to know what causes this issue? Or how to check what could be the reason why the Conference ID is no longer working. Thanks.

  • Hi,

Was there any migration for those accounts or any recent changes on the servers?

If you reset conf information from dialin.domain.com, did you see the error again?

If you didn’t change anything on server side before, the conference id would get invalid while the conference is expired or deactivated. That means if the conference is expired, the meeting URL and conference ID will cease to work.

Conferences created within Skype for Business don’t last forever. There is some point in time in which the information needs to be removed from the SQL Database Server to ensure it doesn’t last forever.

The following details how long a conference exists within the database.

    • For a single one time scheduled meeting, the conferences expires after 14 days.
    • For a recurring meeting, the conference expires 14 days after the last instance of that meeting.
    • For a recurring meeting with no end date, the conference never expires.
    • For a Meet Now, the session expires in under 8 hours.

    Kind regards,

    Calvin Liu
