TERRY - XCOPY RRS feed

  • Question

  • I use XCOPY to backup multiple folders and files. The activity is displayed on the screen but scrolls very quickly. Is there a way to access the "nnn files copied" output so I can audit against what "should" have been copied. Many years ago, I believe batch scripts were able to echo to a printer, but I don 't see this any more.

Answers

  • Use robocopy and tell it to create a log file.

Run the command 'robocopy /?' for instructions. (This is not a robocopy support forum.)
