Are there any update in Powershell SDK for SCOM 2016? RRS feed

  • Question

  • My task was to get the difference of Powershell Cmdlet outputs between SCOM 2012 and SCOM 2016.

    But, I suspect SCOM 2012 and SCOM 2016 uses <g class="gr_ gr_115 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear Grammar only-ins replaceWithoutSep" data-gr-id="115" id="115">same</g> version of PowerShell SDK (Is is true.?)

Are there any updates in any classes of the SDK in SCOM 2016.? (Is there any changes of output for any PowerShell cmdlet)

I tried searching in some of SCOM docs but was not able to do so. Also checked readme <g class="gr_ gr_674 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear ContextualSpelling ins-del" data-gr-id="674" id="674">txt</g> file in the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2016\Operations Manager\Powershell\OperationsManager\en\about_OpsMgr_WhatsNew.help.txt" but it contains help for "new features of SCOM 2012" instead of 2016.!! It seems the SDK <g class="gr_ gr_1252 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" data-gr-id="1252" id="1252">haven't</g> been updated for 2016.

Any small suggestion would be great help.!

    Thank you,

  • Hi Jay,

I think that it would be pretty hard to find such information. Unfortunately the various teams involved seem to be very busy and documentation is left behind. Some of the basic and most important stuff (like design planing, get started, basic functionalities) are updated, but others are not.
