Installing windows XP mode on windows 7 professional, for .NET framework 4 updates to install. RRS feed

    I already have a problem with (3) .NET framework 4 updates to install.

    Does it take installing windows XP mode with windows 7, to install successfully (3) security updates.

    right now, all (3) of them remain ''hidden'' at windows updates.

    I also read the (windows update system readiness tool) article, about how it might be windows XP's

    problem not installed, for some updates to fail. Is this probly the cause.

    Having installed those updates successfully on four different Windows 7 machines here, I can assure you that no "windows XP mode" is required.

    I also have a suggestion. There is a forum dedicated to .NET Framework setup and installation issues where you'll get the best suggestions to solve your problem:

    When you post there, please be sure to state that you are using Windows 7, and provide identification of the three updates that are failing in Windows Update.
