Inbox folders not appearing in mobile email RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have several folders set up in my inbox and for each, there is a rule in place to automatically move new emails to their respective inbox folder.  This is an MS Exchange email account, and I also have my email set up to sync with it on my mobile device (Android phone) using IMAP every 30 minutes.  I started getting a lot of notification emails when a change was made in some software we have which was set up to email me alerts, so I created a folder for them and set up a rule to move those emails as well so not to flood my inbox and annoy me with too many emails to sort through on my phone.  I noticed shortly after doing this that my phone was quiet again, so I assumed the issue with the software was fixed... but then I checked my email inbox and there were over 100 new alert emails in that new folder, but none went to my phone.  It occurred to me that none of my inbox subfolders were syncing with my phone email and it does not even show those subfolders at all.  Is there some way of being able to see my inbox subfolders and new emails coming in to them?  Will it reflect the rule sets I have in place properly?  By staying organized on the desktop, I'm missing out on potentially important emails while out of the office.  Any way of making this work??

IMAP requires the client to subscribe to folders before the contents
can be seen. Your problem is on the client (the phone), not the
    server.

Even ActiveSync wants you to identify the folders to synchronize.
