Polycom CX500, CX600 PIN authentication FAIL RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have problem with PIN authentication with Polycom CX500, CX600.

Explanation: I configured Lync server, time server and so on. Then on Lync server I run command:

     Test-CsPhoneBootstrap -PhoneOrExt 333333 -PIN 7777 -verbose

    And get success result.

Then I tryed to connect with PIN from the phones POLYCOM XC600 and XC500. I got error: Account used is not authorized. ....

On Lync server logs(C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\W3SVCXXXX) I see this entry:

    2012-02-23 09:26:00 POST /CertProv/CertProvisioningService.svc/anon - 80 - OCPhone/4.0.7576.0+(Microsoft+Lync+2010+Phone+Edition) 200 0 0 3

I don't understand what is "anon" after slash simbol mean in log?

My working link for certification provisioning service is https://lync2010entpool.mydomain.lt/CertProv/CertProvisioningService.svc

In log I see 80 port, not 443. How can I change it for 443?

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you in advance

  • Hi,

check in your DHCP Server that the Time server and the NTP server is set to the correct Host name or IP of the DHCP Server and also the option 120 has the correct host name of the Lync FE server. check the scope option whether you have correct IP or host name of the DHCP server is configured. usually you will get this problem if there's invalid configuration in Scope.

  • It is normal for the phone to connect to http as well as https.  You should see this in the full output from the Test-CsPhoneBootstrap command, as well as the IIS logs.  I don't think it indicates your problem, as long as you see the other connections you should see:

    POST /CertProv/CertProvisioningService.svc/mex

    POST /CertProv/CertProvisioningService.svc/WebTicket_Proof_SHA1
