Need assistance for creating boot ISO from WIM file RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We have SCCM CB 1610 in our environment, we have captured windows 10 1607 reference image in the format of WIM.

We need to convert this WIM file into ISO format to install in workstation.

We don't have SCCM server access, so please let us know other ways to convert into ISO format(Standalone format).

    Thanks in advance.

Answers

  • 1. Import the WIM to SCCM.

    2. Create a task sequence that installs the WIM.

    3. Create a stand-alone task sequence media (ISO).

  • Hi,

To my knowledge, you cannot build a ConfigMgr Standalone media without the access to SCCM server (either via Console or powershell). Also, I think what you need to do is not converting the WIM file to IOS format, you need all the OSD required elements (boot loaders, boot image, OS wim file, task sequence, applications & packages, etc) no matter you choose ISO or USB type.
