  • Hi,

If it is newly installed Windows Server 2012 Essentials, please make sure that you had fully patched the system with Windows Update/Hotfix, it would be helpful for resolving some known issues and improving the performance.

It is recommended to use system buit-in Windows Update to check/install available update/hotfix. Or, you can manually download and install, such as Update Rollup 1 for Windows Server 2012 Essentials is available:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2781267/update-rollup-1-for-windows-server-2012-essentials-is-available

And Windows Server 2012 update history:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4009471/windows-server-2012-update-history

Then, please re-start WSE and try to connect again to check the result.

If you had successfully connected other client to WSE and this problem only happens on specific client or OS version, please provide detail error message of failed connection. Provide me the screenshot if possible.

Try to manually download the Connector.exe to client locally, right click it to run as administrator and confirm that if it will open configuration wizard.

Are you receiving any error messages? Make sure that Windows Server 2012 en Windows 10 are fully patched. What happens when you go to http://<SERVERNAME>/connect?
