Hello,
I am running Windows Vista Ultimate x64. I have had some file system issues, but scandisk fixed almost all of them.
I have a few corrupted files in my system folder, I only know this because some services will not start because the file is corrupted. The major one (for me) is PnP-X Bus Enumerator.
I have been trying to do a 'repair' like i remember from 2000/XP days you would go thru the setup on the cd like your going to install the OS and when it detects a pervious version you have the choice of repairing the install or doing a clean install.
Has this option been removed in vista? Is there anyway i can do a repair without formatting or re-installing vista over again? The only thing close to a repair i found in vista was a 'Startup Repair' which is very helpfull and im glad Microsoft added it, but where is the Full Repair?
Any Ideas?
Here is the command output:
Code Snippet
C:\>net start IPBusEnum
The PnP-X IP Bus Enumerator service is starting.
The PnP-X IP Bus Enumerator service could not be started.
The service did not report an error.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3534.
Thanks
