Playback Errors using Windows Media Player RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have Windows 10.  I just bought the $15.00 upgrade of Windows Media Player yesterday.  I had watched a movie for about an hour or so, no issues.  Shut down computer for night.  Tried to watch movie again now, came up with Playback Error message.  Remove movie & reinstalled & tried to start movie from FILE EXPLORER/Right Click on DVD drive/Clicked on AUTO Start- got same message with Play back error

    Playback Error

  • Hi,

Would mind to test if your DVD can be played when using other DVD player from Windows store?

If still not, consider this issue is related to DVD driver, please open Device manager and uninstall the DVD drive, then restart the computer to make it install after scanning hardware changes in Device manager.

For further troubleshooting, please post back the details in Event viewer related to this issue.
