In a document library for a excel file in the drop down we have an option called "View in Browser"
Do we have the same function for visio as well? if so does it need any configuration to be done ?

Hi,
Firstly - I would suggest posting this on the visio forum. However,I think it is possible to view a visio file on a browser. I do not think it is the same way as the Excel. I think you need to save the file and then select to open with the browser. I also think you may need a add-in for this.
Hope that helps

Dharmesh

1) You need to ensure Visio Services are running in SharePoint. (it's a pretty easy configuration)
2) In Visio 2010, you'll need to save the file as a .vdw format to the SharePoint library
That should do the trick. I wrote a couple of blog posts on reporting from Project Server through Visio....feel free to take a look:
