Corporate Outlook unable to launch on Office x64. RRS feed

  • Good Morning, I am trying to deploy Corporate/Workgroup Outlook, but have come across an issue whereby clients running x64 Office are unable to launch the application from within the UAG portal. An error message is displayed saying the application cannot be launched / please ensure the application is installed. This does not appear to affect x32 Office installs. Is it possible to use this with x64 Office? Regards.

  • Hi Amig@. I am afraid 64 bits applications don't work with socket forwarder (the component used for Corporate/Workgroup Outlook publishing). Socket forwarder is supported for 64 bits operating system but only for 32 bits applications. Take a look at this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2288900/en-us

    This doesn't cause any real problem, my client's default build includes x32 Office, they were simply trialling x64 on a limited number of machines.
