Outlook 2010 meeting room problem... RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guy's,

All users are using outlook 2010 SP1 and we have 10 meeting room that are the exact configuration. We have ONLY exchange 2010 server.

I have a user that can't made a meeting request to a meeting room. He is recieving that msg:

YOU MARKED "MEETINGROOM05" AS A RESOURCE. YOU CANNOT SCHEDULE A MEETING WITH "MEETINGROOM05" BECAUSE YOU DO NOT HAVE THE APPROPRIATE PERMISSION FOR THAT ACCOUNT. EITHER ENTER THE NAME AS A REQUIRED OR OPTIONAL ATTENDEE OR TALK TO YOUR ADMINISTRATOR ABOUT GIVING YOU PERMISSION TO SCHEDULE "MEETINGROOM05".

He is able to do a meeting on all others 9 meeting room. All other user are able to do it on all meeting room.

On the web mail interface he can do it without problem. only on his outlook is not working.

I already create a new outlook profile and this not solved the problem. The user computer was rebooted and the problem is still there.

I don't know what I can do now! :( I don't have the user computer here to reinstall all office 2010 or the OS.

    I'm open for any ideas.

    Best regards,

    Rildo

  • Everything looks normal and there is no issue.

Is this issue appearing only for one user or for all the user who are booking this conference room.

Give full access permission for you account and configure the mailbox in oulook profile and go to calendar permission and see what is the permission assigned for default, compare it with other mailbox

Do you have any issue in disabling the mailbox for a while and reenabling the mailbox as a room mailbox? If not give a try.

  • Hi Rildo,

Is this mailbox created as a room mailbox? What is the default permission assigned on the calendar for this mailbox MEETINGROOM05

Can you paste the output of Get-CalendarProcessing -identity "MEETINGROOM05" |fl

Check whether any bookinpolicy is assigned.
