to open PST files on Outlook Launch. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'd like to build a PowerShell script that would open PST files for the user when they first launch Outlook 2013.

the script would only work the first time they launch Outlook, it would look for all pst files in c:\users\samid\app data\local data\Microsoft\outlook, and would install (open) all PST files placed for the user.

  • Hi Wild4bits,

    Thanks for visiting our forum.

Then here we mainly focus on general issues about Outlook user interface. Since your query is about PowerShell script, I'll move your thread to the dedicated PowerShell forum for better response.

The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your understanding.

  • We do not write scripts on request. This forum is more to ask specific questions about code you wrote by yourself.

You could try to find some suitable scripts here: PowerShell Gallery or here: TechNet Gallery - resources for IT professionals.

Learn PowerShell: Microsoft Virtual Academy - Getting Started with Microsoft PowerShell.

Script requests: Microsoft Technet Script Center - Requests.

    Best regards,
