  • Cannot confirm if it support WSS 2008 R2 as WSS is an OEM system. From the description, it should only support Windows 2008 R2 RTM, so WSS may not be supported. As Windows 2008 R2 SP1 will be released tomorrow, please just run Windows Update to see if SP1 will be provided.

  • Hi Carl,

I believe that Windows Server 2008 SP1 cannot be installed on Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 as they are different version of OS.

If you want to try to use Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, you may download the trial software for free for 180 days.

Please have a look at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/trial-software.aspx

    Hope this can help.
