Remote Assistance 'has closed connection to your computer' RRS feed

    I have two computers on same private home network both running XP Professional SP3. Remote desktop connection will work with A controlling B. Remote assistance will not however. I have issued many file invitations and looked at the text within.

    When A connects to B using an invitation, the logon prompt with HelpAssistant and a password appears and disappears in less than a second. Another small message box appears after but it disappears too soon to see what it is.

    After a while I get the error shown:

    I see a resized image here. On chrome right click on the image and then click "open image in new tab" to see full size.

    I have been searching for a long time and diagnosed as much as I could. I have tried kb957070 and kb969084I still cannot fix the problem. I don't know what else to specify to clarify the problem but please ask me if you want more detail.
