Sign in my PC with Phone Sign In or 2FA RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to sign into my PC (set up with my personal MSFT account) using my phone either as the second factor or even better with Phone Sign In?

Was not able to find how to do that. The only other option to not have to remember my terribly complex password si to sign in using the PIN which does not seem secure at all.

    Many thanks for your help.

  • You can make it so the phone can lock your computer when you walk away with the phone. That feature is called dynamic lock

Apparently with a certain model of Samsung phone you can do it(unlock the computer)

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/whats-new/whats-new-windows-10-version-1803

Windows Hello now supports FIDO 2.0 authentication for Azure AD Joined Windows 10 devices and has enhanced support for shared devices, as described in the Kiosk configuration section.

and will notify Dynamic lock users if Dynamic lock has stopped working because their phone or device Bluetooth is off.
