Windows 7 Pro can't activate with valid product key RRS feed

  • Question

  • I own a product called a Studioblade by Music Computing.  I had a serious system crash and had to restore system from scratch.  The manufacturer provided me the original Win 7 Pro key for this unit.  However, during the restore I had purchased and installed Windows 7 Home Premium edition just to get the system back up prior to receiving the original manufacturer's OS install.  Now, I cannot activate the original Win7 Pro after performing a fresh install.  Can't get Microsoft to activate without paying for support.  I need help on what to do and who to contact.  Thanks in advance.

  • Hi RAREMuZIK,

Is the machine pre-installed with Windows 7 Pro or Windows 7 Home?
If you want the Windows 7 Pro version, I don`t understand why you purchased a Windows 7 Home version?
If this is OEM version, it is recommended to ask for help from the device manufacturer support.

If this is a retail version, we could refer to the link arnavsharma posted to contact the support.

    Best regards
