Blue screen error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, since a month (or maybe more, i cant really tell...) ago I've been getting some bluescreens on my HP Pavilion g4, but on the latest weeks, it has been getting worse, some days i've like 3-4 bluescreen, even while shutting down the computer.

All  the errors have this Source: Kernal-Power and same ID:41. But most of the have this codes:

    EventData
    BugcheckCode 26
    BugcheckParameter1 0x41790
    BugcheckParameter2 0xfffffa8001f9e720
    BugcheckParameter3 0xffff
    BugcheckParameter4 0x0
    SleepInProgress false
    PowerButtonTimestamp 0

    7/10 have this codes
The latest one had this one

    EventData
    BugcheckCode 209
    BugcheckParameter1 0xfffff880012f3d18
    BugcheckParameter2 0x0
    BugcheckParameter3 0x8
    BugcheckParameter4 0xfffff880012f3d18
    SleepInProgress false
    PowerButtonTimestamp

    0

And Finally i've one like this

    EventData
    BugcheckCode 265
    BugcheckParameter1 0xa3a039d89bbf0afe
    BugcheckParameter2 0xb3b7465eee3d1c38
    BugcheckParameter3 0xfffff8800176b000
    BugcheckParameter4 0x0
    SleepInProgress false
    PowerButtonTimestamp 0

I've read on the forums that this error may be found on the minidump folder, and you ask people to upload their minidump folder to skydrive... I just created an account for this, hope I did it fine, here's the URL https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=5814135A17B88A8B!421&authkey=!AGdDpI8zNh1Eq50

Hope you can help me with this annoying problem.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

    CPUID: "Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz"
    MaxSpeed: 2300
    CurrentSpeed: 2294

So it should not be caused by CPU overclock.

      Vendor Hewlett-Packard
      BIOS Version F.04
      BIOS Starting Address Segment 0
      BIOS Release Date 02/11/2011
      BIOS ROM Size 280000

I suggest you look for BIOS update to check if this issue still persists.

Also please update your graphic driver to the latest version, check memory with Windows Memory Diagnostic and disk.

    Thanks!

  • Do not expect we could inspect all 40 minidumps! It is better to include 3 typical minidumps.

I have downloaded random 3 and obtained quite different data that you have given in your question. See what bugcheckcodes are for the first minidump

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL    0x0000000a

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED  0x1000007e

    ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY  0x000000be

    1. I would start with decreasing number of minidumps that are relevant to your problem(s).

    2. Double check the memory with memtest or similar

    3. Double check HDD with diagnostics from disk vendor

    4. See if CPU is not overheated
