Steadystate blocks RDP RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a public access workstation (not part of AD) configured with an local account which logon automaticly, this account is locked down. Users cant do much exept using internet explorer.

So far so good, only if this account is logged on its not possible to take over the workstation as administrator with rdp. We get the notification that it isnt possible to logon because of an account restriction. When the admin account is logged on its possible to start a rdp-session. Ive fiddled with the settings but i cant get the right setting to allow administrators to use rdp and still have the workstation locked down.

  • Hi,

Enabling fast user switching is not a supported configuration for Windows SteadyState.

    Thanks

  • Hi, as far as I know SteadyState disables quick user switching - only one user can login. I think, you will be able to login via rdp after reanebling quick user switch.
