HI ,

Is there any way we can find out if the backup belongs to SQL 2000 or SQL 2005? I have a DB backup and i would like to know if it is SQL 2000 DB backup of SQL2005 DB backup. Please Help

You can use the restore header only option =>by checking the column output of CompatibilityLevel
