  • Question

  • Hello All,

I'm trying to add an LDAP security provider in Dashboard Studio, the app isrunning under (x86), I'm using a Domain Admin account to attemp to add the LDAP provider,  When I attempt to browse for security providers I get the following message "No providers have been found for the current user. Make sure the user name, password and domain are correct.", any ideas?

  • Hi Dave,

Can you try manually adding the LDAP Provider rather than browsing for it?  Give this a try:

    (1) Copy the domain from the Computer Name tab of My Computer properties
    (2) PING the domain name to discover the DC's IP address

    "PING YourDomainName"

    (3) PING the obtained IP Address with the "a" switch to get FQDN

    "PING -a 157.1.1.100"

The results will return something similar to the following:

    "Pinging aa-aa-01"

    (4) Enter the LDAP string into your Dashboard Studio as follows: "aa-aa-01:389/DC=yourDomain,DC=corp,DC=com"

    Any luck going that route?

    Regards,
    Amanda
