Hi I bought an Acer Aspire 5530 with Windows Vista, back then the Win Experience Index was about 3.4 or 3.5 (processor being the lowest) but after I upgraded to Win7 RC7100 my score went down to 3.1 and then to 3.0, I haven't noticed any performance problem or anything, so my question is only why did this happen?
It's a different (wider) scale. Therefore, a Win7 rating will be 'lower' than a Vista rating on the same hardware. Vista: 1.0-5.9 Windows 7: 1.0-7.9
