  • Hi,

It is very strange. I suggest you try the following steps on a problem client to have a test:

    1. Disable and enable Lync user account.

    2. Reinstall Lync client

    3. Remove Lync user profile on client computer.

  • Do the users with greyed out buttons have their mobile phone number stored in AD?

  • No. Only one number is stored in Active Directory. And these number is grayed out - this is o.k.

  • Hi,

If the phone numbers are published in AD, client does not provide ability to modify the number and it would be greyed out. Is the user an Enterprise Voice?

  • Hi,

the phone numbers, published in AD, are shown grayed
out. The other phone numbers, which are not
published in AD, are also grayed out. Yes,
the users are Enterprise Voice enabled.

    The curious thing is that
this doesn’t appear to all users. We only have one client policy.

  • Are you sure your numbers are not all stored in AD? In our environment, there are hidden user object attributes in AD that allow the storage of up to ~255 different telephone numbers per user. You should be able to view these "hidden" attributes though the AD Administration Center tool. It is also possible that the numbers stored in AD are not syncing as expected with Skype servers and/or the client. After verifying that numbers stored in AD are correct, attempt clearing Skype cache on local client to make sure client is not the issue.
