auto refresh RRS feed

  • Question

  • How do I get Server (2016) Manager to auto refresh every 10 minutes?  I made the change below, but it doesn't refresh after 10 minutes.

  • Might check the event log for errors / warnings, also check the patch level is current, and possibly;

    sfc /scannow

    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

  • Hi,

    Please note that:
    1. Refresh applies globally to data from all servers that you have added to the Server Manager server pool. You cannot refresh data or configure different refresh intervals for individual servers, roles, or groups.

    2. When servers that are in a cluster are added to Server Manager, whether they are physical computers or virtual machines, the first refresh of data can fail, or display data only for the host server for clustered objects. Subsequent refreshes show accurate data for physical or virtual servers in a server cluster.

    3. Data that is displayed in role home pages in Server Manager for Remote Desktop Services, IP address Management, and File and Storage Services does not refresh automatically. Refresh data that is displayed in these pages manually, by pressing F5 or clicking Refresh in the Server Manager console heading while you are on those pages.

    If the interval configuration via Server Manager Properties is not working, you may try to configure Group Policy and check the result:
    Computer Configuration\Administrative Template\ System\Server Manager\ Configure the refresh interval for Server Manager
