Single Entry Mode and Project Pro 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

When we are using the Single Entry Mode in PWA 2010, is the PM still able to enter progress on tasks in Project Pro?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

yes, they will. As long as you are not activating "Only allow task updates via Tasks and Timesheets" in Server Settings - Task Settings and Display as mentioned in an earlier post.

Take care that a PM doesn't enter hours for a period already submitted.

  • Hi,

just an addition: if Administrator closes a time period, users will not be able to enter any hours in Tasks or Timesheet with SEM enabled. However, PM will be able to do so in Project client. I suggest to make this a training issue, if you want PMs to enter Actual Work into project plans. Not sure, if this will still be necessary, since there is now the feature delegation.
