Error 1327 when trying to download update for Adobe reader RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I'm running on Winows Vista SP2. A while ago I decided to do away with the partition E: on the C: drive. Everything  seems to work OK but when I try to download an update for Adobe reader, it fails with err 1327 saying "Invalid Drive E:" How do I tell the system not to try to download to the now non-existent E: drive?

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Keith

  • Hi,

Are you using SCCM? This is SCCM forum.

As I known, you can set adobe reader update download path from:

Help -> Check For Updates -> Preferences -> File Location

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks

  • I am assuming that other distributions are working properly, and that this is limited to Adobe.

What path is listed on the workstation in HKLM\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\version\Installer? HKLM\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\version\Unstaller\Updates?

(If the OS is 64 bit then you need to add WOW6432Node to the path)

Is anyhing there referencing the former E: drive?

  • Hi everyone,

I found the info I needed on the Adobe forum which gave me step by step instructions to edit out the offending parts of my registry files. Adobe Reader downloaded OK.

    Thanks for your help.
