Mails are queued in CAS server post Office 365 hybrid deployment. RRS feed

  • We have run hybrid configuration wizard in our environment where we have Exchange server 2010 CAS and MBX servers and MX has been pointed to Symantec SMTP gateway. We have added Exchange server 2016 as Hybrid Server and configuration has completed with centralized mail flow. Now we have issue with Mail flow. Mails from Exchange server and external users to Office 365 are being queued in CAS server. Please help me here, how we can troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

  • Hi Haaris,

    In a hybrid deployment, it's recommended to change your MX record to point to the Exchange Online Protection service in Office 365. And in on-premises organization, you need to change all dns records to point to Exchange 2016 server.
