Where did my volume icon go,
I would check to make sure it didn’t somehow get removed from the system tray.
In order to do this:
- Press the Windows key and X simultaneously.
- Select Control Panel.
- Select Notification Area Icons.
- From this screen you’ll see several icons. Find Volume and make sure the behaviors are set to
Show icon and notifications.
- Select OK.
If the behaviors were not set appropriately and you made the above change, then the icon should reappear.
In the event that the icon still not appear, it may be a driver issue and you’ll need to look at your hardware manufacturer’s website to see if there is an updated driver that you need to download and install.
