Wrong Windows version in WSUS console RRS feed

  • Question

  • We've got a Windows Server 2016 with WSUS installed.

Most Client are Windows 10 1803.

I deployed the last Update KB4512501 to the Client.

WinVer on the Client reports Build 17134.984.

The WSUS console still reports 17134.915.

    How can we fix this?

  • Hi Reto,

I also found the situation you mentioned in my experimental environment. Currently I found in another thread that some users have explained this:

    • The version number displayed in the SUS console is the version number of the windows update component in the build, NOT the version number of the build itself. So if a cumulative update comes out that does not update the windows update component, the version number displayed in SUS will not change.

I still look for an official explanation of this situation.
Hope the above can help you.
