Add a hyperlink to SSPR success page RRS feed

• Question

• Is it possible to add a hyperlink to the FIM 2010 R2 sspr success page after a password reset?

I know you can customize text by modifying the strings.resource file, but I can't seem to add a hyperlink.

If I type out the HTML tag it doesn't work.

Cheers

• Hi Aetius,

I never need to do this, but have try to use a CDATA functionality?

like:

fim technet

Regards,

• Hi,

Unfortunately that didn't work - the cdata tag is simply displayed in the browser, can you see anything wrong with the strings.resources below:

<data name="ResetUseNewPassword" xml:space="preserve">
<value>You can now use your new password to log in - a href="https://webapp.contoso.com">webapp.contoso.com</value>
</data>
</root>

thx

• it should be webapp.contoso.com

not a href="https://webapp.contoso.com">webapp.contoso.com

• Has anyone ever verified that this will work in FIM? We are looking for the same functionality, and the CDATA tag does not seem to work. It simply displays the href tag contents as well as the text intended to be the link.

• Hello, that´s posible using <add key=" PasswordResetLink " > in the web.config file of Registration folder.

• Better late than never! Found this page while randomly searching for something else.

You'll have to HTMLEncode your opening and closing brackets

<a href="http://www.google.com">Google It</a>

It's not ideal, but it works.

Same situation if you want to insert any HTML into the strings.resources file (for example, adding div tags or paragraph tags)
