Is there a way to add up selected index of a few columns? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I'm using SharePoint 2007 MOSS.
In a listing where 5 of the 12 columns on the right are dropdown choices.  The last column on the right is a calculated type where I would like to sum up those 5 column's selection index.  So, if the column choice is selected as the 1st choice then this column would have a value of 1. In C# .net programming I'm looking for the selected index value and summing that.  How can I accomplish this?  Thank you.
    Thank you

You can try to implement this with event handler. You need do some comparisons between option and user's choice, and get the value base on the user's choice. Then you need to add up these values and pass the sum to the field you want.
