Project Detail Page won't load custom field lookup values RRS feed

  • We have
    Project Server 2010 SP1 with December 2010 CU. We have a user who recently got
    a new computer and when she edits a project in Project Web App, the Project
    Detail Page won't display the available lookup table values. She has IE8 with
    Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP1.<o:p></o:p>

    The IE
    Status bar displays "done, but with errors on page" and the error
    details are as below:<o:p></o:p>

  • In the end, the user's workstation had to be "rebuilt" (format drive, reinstall all software, etc). We never found the setting or cause of this problem, but did have it occur on two users' workstations.

    Is this issue with the specific user & machine? Did user try on other machine to see if the lookup values are loaded on PDP page?

  • This is a specific user, specific machine. She got a new machine last week and the problem is occuring only for her. I've reviewed her versions of Java and .Net and they all seem to be appropriate.

  • Hi Jim,

    In that case, You will need to either compare the IE settings of her machine with a machine where it works & update IE options for trusted sites or try upgrading to IE 9 (if you are on IE8). It seems to me a purely browser settings issues. As a must have, PWA site needs to be in Trusted sites in IE options.
