How to maintain same display configuration for different docks and monitors (same model) in an office enviornment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

Here is the scenario. A medical office environment where each medical exam room (20 of them) has a docking station and monitor. The docking stations and the monitor are of the same model. Here's the problem:

When you plug in a computer to the docking station and monitor for the first time, you have to configure the resolution, and also determine if you want to extend the display or clone it. In this case, we want to extend in this case. Now, if you take that computer, and plug it into a docking station and monitor in a different room, you have to do it all over again. Is there a way to set up this config once, and have it work on all docks and monitors? We really don't want to have to take every single computer and have to reconfigure it on 20 different docks. That is insanely impractical.

  • Hi,

What I suggest is don't use dock in station :)
