Manual Data Replication - Cannot access mounted volume to copy replica data to the DPM RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I'm setting up DPM and we have a USB HDD copy of the data we've like to protect.  We're trying to manually install the data and I'm following MS's instructions to find the volume data path and then mount the volume.

    Followed the instructions here:  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj642916.aspx

The volume mounts (we're using "K:" in this case) but I can't access the mounted volume due to permissions.  Access Denied and all that...

I'm a domain admin with administrative rights to the server:  I could make myself owner of this mounted volume but I'm afraid of messing up the default settings.

Any recommendations?  I need to get this data into DPM and run a consistency check rather quickly.

    Any assistance would be appreciated!

  • UPDATE -- Here's an odd thing:  While I can't browse the "K:" mount on the DPM server itself, I can do it from my workstation.

    Working fine now-- copies away!
