how installer of a program determine x64 or x86 windows RRS feed

    i expand the main problem:

    i have a 32bit program installer, when i want to install it on a 64bit windows a message tell me that you cannot install this program on a  64bit os but i must install 32bit version because i have another program just work with the 32bit version of first program.

    if i change the value of these registery key, may the program installer does determine my os is 32bit? and if not how can i do it?

    registery keys:

    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment

    HKLM\Hardware\Description\System\CentralProcessor\0
